East Anglia Tour

The East Anglia cycling tour is unique to cycle explorers, this tour takes you deep into the East Anglia countryside, cycling for three days covering approximately 225 miles, and 5,900 feet of ascent.


The route will take you on quite lanes pass fields, woodland, and pretty villages. Enjoy riding through parts of Thetford forest, an 18,730-hectare forest, which is the UK’s largest man-made lowland forest.


Take on the famous cycle-way, which is approximately sixteen miles running alongside the Cambridgeshire guided Busway, between Cambridge and St Ives, and is currently the longest guided Busway in the world. Visit the historical city of Cambridge, situated on the river Cam.


This tour is a great way to spend a long weekend away.

Unless stated getting to and from the start and finish locations of this tour need to be arranged by yourself unless you have booked a transfer with us.

Day one

Essex To Claydon

Starting at a convenient point in Essex, riding through the fabulous Essex countryside, on a low traffic route passing small towns and villages, stopping for lunch at one of the many country pubs or tea rooms before cycling on towards Claydon, a village just north of Ipswich in Suffolk.​

Day Two

Claydon To Cambridge

Leaving Calydon after breakfast, heading northwest towards Thetford forest, at 18,730 hectares this is the UK’s largest man-made lowland forest, stopping for lunch at one of the many country pubs or tea rooms before cycling on towards St Ives. Once at St Ives its time to join the famous cycle-way, which runs for approximately sixteen miles alongside the Cambridge Busway, between Cambridge and St Ives.

Day In Cambridge

An optional day to explore Cambridge can be arranged. Please advise this when booking additional cost.

Day Three

Cambridge To Essex

Starting the day with a good breakfast, before heading out of Cambridge alongside the river Cam to the countryside, on a low traffic route. Passing small towns and villages towards Essex. Lunch will be at one of the many country pubs or tea rooms before heading back to our start point in Essex. We say goodbye, it’s time to head home. Making your own way home unless a prearranged transfer has been booked with us.
